The board is very happy to announce that Dr. Henrik Öhman of Atlas Copco will join the board as Vice Chairman starting from January 1st, 2020. Henrik participated to this meeting for the first time as observer, and will do so until his appointment starts. We are very glad Henrik accepted the offer of the board and we wholeheartedly welcome him “on board”!

The board was informed by the chairman of the conference, Prof. Sotirios Karellas, about the progress of the organization of our conference in Athens. All is on its way, and 240 people already registered. This is more than the 200 people who registered for the Milano conference in 2017, whereby the total number of registered participants ended up being more than 320. Will we surpass that already large attendance? Come to Athen to find out!

Various other topics were discussed and the chairman of the website editorial committee reported on the improvements and maintenance activities that his group recently performed.
