First Announcement: ORC 2027 to Take Place in Brighton, UK
KCORC is pleased to announce the first details of the 9th International Seminar on Organic Rankine Cycle Power Systems — ORC 2027.
The conference will take place from 8–10 September 2027 at the University of Sussex in Falmer, Brighton, United Kingdom.
ORC 2027 will bring together researchers, technology developers, industry practitioners, and end users to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest advances in Organic Rankine Cycle technologies and related fields.
The conference welcomes contributions in:
- ORC systems and optimisation
- High temperature heat pumps
- Supercritical CO2 power cycles
- Key components including expanders, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors
- Working fluids and thermodynamics
- Experimental and numerical studies
- Control and integration
- Industrial deployment and end-user experiences
- Education.
As in previous editions, ORC 2027 will provide a platform for both academic research and industrial deployment, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications, scale-up, and system performance in practice.
The event aims to foster dialogue across the full innovation chain — from fundamental research and technology development to commercial implementation and end-use applications. ORC 2027 is organised by the University of Sussex in collaboration with the Knowledge Center on Organic Rankine Cycle technology — KCORC.
