The 6th International Seminar on ORC Power Systems was hosted in Germany (Munich, 13-15 September 2017)) and organized by the KCORC in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich and its Chair of Energy Systems. Unfortunately, due to the situation regarding Covid-19 a physical event was not possible and the event was held online.
Nonetheless, the Seminar was an exciting opportunity for scientists from the Industry and the Academia to discuss the latest advances in ORC research & development, applications and demonstration projects.
There were a total of 220 attendees, participating in more than 80 oral presentations and around 30 poster presentations. Despite the virtual format the feedback on the conference was very positive and especially the virtual technical tours were very much appreciated by the audience. The opening keynote on “Pushing forward with Research & Innovation – the role of the EC” by Daniel Maraver from CINEA as well as the ORC market report by Marco Astolfi and Christoph Wieland were only two of the highlights of this year’s conference.
